As of February 15, 2024, nearly 5,000 people have lost their lives to gun violence in the United States, based on information from the Gun Violence Archive. This shocking number has made many people talk about how common gun violence is in America. In 2024 alone, there have been over 49 mass shootings. Others think they’re not fair to people who follow the law and don’t stop criminals.

These programs use a public health approach to fight violence. They have shown to reduce gunshot woundings and deaths in neighborhoods most affected by gun violence.
Gun violence is a big problem in the United States. It affects communities, families, and children. The debate about gun control laws continues. Some states pass new laws to control guns. But other states see more gun violence. The impact of gun violence on communities and the effectiveness of gun control measures are important topics. People are still learning about these things.
