Critic Consensus

Winchester Model 1866 Critic Reviews
Winchester Model 1866 Description
Own a piece of Western history. Winchester's M66 Short Centerfire Rifle was the very first rifle with Winchester's brand. Classic rifle-style forearm sports a polished-brass cap, which was the basis for giving the original 1866 its nickname Yellow Boy. Full bright polish on the forearm cap, brass receiver and crescent buttplate completes the traditional look. Grade-I American black-walnut straight-grip stock features a satin oil finish that's soft to the touch. Also features open-top ejection port, full-length magazine tube, blued-steel loading gate and blued-steel action screws. Folding ladder rear sight and Marble Arms gold-bead front sight.Technical Data
